The Most Attended Events Winners ($500): Katelin Scheuerman

We all know that your academic studies are the reason you came to the University of Wyoming -- but did you know it is also important that every student get connected with out-of-class activities on our campus? Students who are involved with campus life tend to perform better academically and are more likely to graduate than those that don't. Meeting new people and trying new activities is a sure way to create great memories and to set yourself up for success! Because of these factors, the Campus Activities Center (CAC) is proud to facilitate the Cowboy Check-In program! The Cowboy Check-In program is an opt-in initiative to encourage attendance and participation in our events. We scan WyoOne cards at our events and documenting attendance - much like 'checking in' to an event or location on social media.

The UW student who comes to the MOST events for the academic year will win $500* and a RANDOM UW student will win $1,000! Yes, you read that correctly -- you can get paid to have FUN and GET INVOLVED!

So, the bottom line is this: the more times you attend our events and scan your WyoOne Card, the better your chances are to win - it's that EASY!

FAQ

What is Cowboy Check-In?
Cowboy Check-In is an effort sponsored and funded by 7220 Entertainment. The concept of the program is simple - attend one of our activities, bring your WyoOne Card, and scan or "check-in" to our events with your ID.

What are the perks of Cowboy Check-In?
This program will run for the academic year through the last day of classes for our final event of the year - Union Fest. The person who attends the MOST Cowboy Check-In events during this time period will automatically win $500.* Also, one RANDOM UW student will WIN $1,000.

Who is eligible to win the prize money?
Any currently enrolled, fee paying student (after the final event of the Spring semester) in good standing with the University.

What events count as Cowboy Check-In events?
Any event you see a place in which we can scan your ID. This will include most 7220 Entertainment events. Keep an eye out for a table with the logo at all of our events. You can take a look at our Upcoming Events page for a full listing of events sponsored by the CAC program boards here!

What is the purpose of Cowboy Check-In?
As stated above, attending events and activities outside the classroom help enhance your experience at the university. Attend our events and get MORE out of your UW experience!

Why Cowboy Check-In?
The Campus Activities Center would like to know who is attending our events and how often. Collecting scans at an event allows us to evaluate and assess the programs we offer the student body. As we collect this data we might on occasion send out an e-mail requesting survey information to get a student's perspective on what they did or did not like about a particular event.

Do I HAVE to participate in Cowboy Check-In if I come to one of your events?
Absolutely not! All of our events are still open to the entire student population, regardless if you chose to participate in this program or not.

This is an opt-in program - it is your choice to scan your ID to document your attendance. If you are concerned about privacy issues: your event attendance information will be used for internal purposes ONLY so we can evaluate ourselves to ensure we're providing the best programs and services we can.

What is the future of Cowboy Check-In?
This program is currently a work-in-progress. Please understand and be patient if we experience issues for scanning IDs at events, etc. Our hopes are to eventually expand this program to other entities on campus. For example, to potentially allow RSOs to track attendance at their events.

What if I still have questions about the Cowboy Check-In program?
