UW Moves to Online Course Delivery Through Summer Term

The University of Wyoming has moved to online course delivery for the remainder of the spring semester and the 2020 summer term in response to concerns about the novel coronavirus COVID-19. UW is implementing a plan that will allow students to continue progress toward their degrees and the university to continue operations, with many employees working remotely. Check our official coronavirus page for more information.

Safe Zone

Safe Zone is a program geared towards creating an inclusive environment for the LGBTQIA+ community at the University of Wyoming and in the Laramie community. Through the completion of training sessions and workshops, we aim to educate individuals on issues related to the LGBTQIA+ community and provide the tools for participants to become active allies.  After participating in Safe Zone workshops, participants will not only understand some basic terms and concepts related to LGBTQIA+ experiences, but will also have the tools to be a visible ally to members of the community. The completion of training also comes with a certificate, to be hung or displayed in an office or place of work, that indicates to the holder is committed to being an active ally.
