Secondary Career and Technical Education - Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) Online

Skilled professionals are the lifeblood of Wyoming. You can educate the next generation and launch your teaching career with University of Wyoming's online Bachelor of Applied Science in Career and Technical Education (CTE). Our program equips you with the skills to prepare middle and high school students for a wide range of high-wage, high-demand careers, such as an engineer, chef, plumber, welder, accountant or computer scientist.

As a student pursuing this CTE degree, you'll learn the best practices of teaching middle and high school students. You'll gain a deep understanding of effective instruction and classroom management by spending a large amount of time in the field honing your craft. Upon graduation you will be eligible to apply for Wyoming teaching licensure.

UW offers this B.A.S. in career and technical education at a distance in partnership with Wyoming community colleges, who deliver the technical content. Your program will take place entirely online except for a few intensive weekends at UW-Casper and during your in-person student teaching experience. With the latest online technology, you'll be connected to faculty and peers, and resources for distance students will support your academic success.

Every community needs CTE teachers. Channel your inner Cowboy and help others find theirs for the future of the Wyoming workforce.
