Janel is the director of the ECTL. She completed her BS in Social Work from St. Cloud State University, an MA in Adult Education from Appalachian State University and her PhD in Educational Psychology from The University of Tennessee. She currently teaches courses on Teaching Methodologies and Applications in Higher Education. Her scholarly interests include the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) and Faculty Development. Her areas of expertise include Collaborative Communication, SOTL and Educational Psychology.

Cathy has been at the ECTL since 2007 in various administrative roles. She has a Bachelors from Miami University in Office (Business) Administration. As Assistant Director, Cathy manages and assists with many administrative aspects of the center’s programs including communications, marketing, program evaluation, and data collection. She also coordinates programming for new faculty and Graduate Teaching Assistants, faculty learning communities, the Certification in Teaching and Learning and badge programs, as well as special events. Her interests include the Students as Partners practice in higher education and how teaching and learning centers demonstrate their impact to faculty and student success.

Christine Boggs

Christi is the divisional head of Digital Teaching and Learning and an Instructional Designer. She has completed three degrees from the University of Wyoming, BS in Biology, MS in Instructional Design, and EdD in Adult Learning and Technology. Christi has taught courses across the institution from instructional design to leadership. She currently teaches in the School of Culture, Gender, and Social Justice as well as Kinesiology and Health. Her scholarly interests and areas of expertise include diversity, equity, and inclusion, inclusive pedagogy, distance education, emerging technologies, and faculty development. Christi is also the co-coach for the UW Nordic Ski.

Jeff is an Instructional Designer. He has an MS in Adult Learning and Technology and a BS in Journalism and Telecommunications from the University of Wyoming. He currently teaches two courses for the BAS degree, including the capstone course. His professional interests include digital education, organizational leadership, and critical thinking. His areas of expertise include digital teaching and learning; Canvas, Zoom, VidGrid, and other supported solutions; and legacy distance education practices and technologies.

Oksana is an Instructional Designer. She completed her PhD in Instructional Technology, from the University of Wyoming, and has taught online and web-conferencing classes in distance education, educational policy, statistics, and qualitative research. Her scholarly interests include teaching presence and teaching strategies in synchronous and asynchronous online courses. Her areas of expertise include distance education and educational technology application.

Heather is the Associate Director of Assessment. She completed her MA in Higher Education Administration at the University of Wyoming in 2018 and recently completed coursework for her Ed.D. in the same field. Her scholarly interests include higher education access and success for underrepresented student populations. Her areas of expertise include assisting individuals and families in addressing social determinants and internal policies impacting access in adult education, higher education and healthcare.

Jake is the coordinator of data in the Division of Assessment and Scholarship of Teaching & Learning. He has completed two degrees from the University of Wyoming, a BS in Broadcast Communications and a Master's in Public Administration. He is in charge of the collection of assessment data, website management and oversees the administrative aspects of the University Studies Program.

Meg leads the Critical and Creative Thinking division and is an instructional designer. She completed both her BA in Humanities and Fine Arts and MA in Interdisciplinary Studies at UW and teaches Professional & Technical Writing for the English Department. Her scholarly interests and areas of expertise include professional and technical writing, teaching writing and communication skills, teaching critical and creative thinking, building learning communities, and digital teaching and learning.

Emily is an ECTL Educational Developer and Lecturer in the Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) and General Studies Programs. She has a MA in Postsecondary and Adult Education and a BAS in Organizational Leadership from the University of Wyoming. Her scholarly interests are student engagement and collaborative learning through vibrant and dynamic online learning communities. For over 12 years, she has been an advocate for evidence-based practices in teaching and learning that inspire to improve student success.

Megan has a BS in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from Illinois State University and an MS from the School of Education in Learning, Design, and Technology (LDT) from the University of Wyoming. She is currently a Ph.D. student in the LDT program. Megan facilitates GTA learning communities and assists with various ECTL instructional and web design projects. Her research interests include remote education, instructional technology, and pedagogy.
