A preview of what you will see inside the UW Geological Museum.






Allosaurus was the most common large carnivore of the Late Jurassic in North America. It was a smaller predecessor of the Cretaceous Tyrannosaurus.



Apatosaurus belongs to a group of dinosaurs called the sauropods. These herbivorous (plant-eating) dinosaurs consists of the largest animals that ever lived on land.



Diatryma was first discovered in Wyoming by E. D. Cope in 1876. Diatryma was a fierce carnivore.

Stegosaurus



Stegosaurus was an unusual-looking herbivorous dinosaur found in the Morrison Formation of the Rocky Mountain west.



Triceratops was one of the most common dinosaurs at the end of the Cretaceous Period.



Tyrannosaurus rex was the largest carnivorous dinosaur that lived in North America. It may have been an active hunter, but it also was a likely scavenger as well.
