Allosaurus ('Big Al')



Allosaurus was the most common large carnivore of the Late Jurassic in North America. It was a smaller predecessor of the Cretaceous Tyrannosaurus. |

Apatosaurus



Apatosaurus belongs to a group of dinosaurs called the sauropods. These herbivorous (plant-eating) dinosaurs consists of the largest animals that ever lived on land. |

Diatryma gigantea



Diatryma was first discovered in Wyoming by E. D. Cope in 1876. Diatryma was a fierce carnivore. |

Stegosaurus



Stegosaurus was an unusual-looking herbivorous dinosaur found in the Morrison Formation of the Rocky Mountain west. |

Triceratops



Triceratops was one of the most common dinosaurs at the end of the Cretaceous Period. |

Tyrannosaurus rex



Tyrannosaurus rex was the largest carnivorous dinosaur that lived in North America. It may have been an active hunter, but it also was a likely scavenger as well. |
