This website provides a clearinghouse for resources produced by
Geriatric Education Centers located throughout the United States.
- National Association of Geriatric Education Centers - the National Association of Geriatric Education Centers (GECs) is dedicated to
improving the education/training, supply, distribution and quality of
health care professionals through strong community-academic
partnerships.

- Alzheimer's Association
- National organization that provides education and information about Alzheimers Disease. Site includes information for professionals, family members and patients. Topics include general overview, current research and news and educational opportunities.
- AMDA
- Dedicated to Long Term Care Medicine - (formerly the American Medical Directors
Association), "the professional association of medical directors, attending
physicians, and others practicing in the long term care continuum, is dedicated
to excellence in patient care and provides education, advocacy, information,
and professional development to promote the delivery of quality long term care
medicine."
- American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine
- American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine offers educational opportunities and information about end of life care.
- American Geriatrics Society - AGS provides information about geriatrics to professionals and the public. For health care professionals, the site provides resources for clinical practice, a directory of agencies, education, conferences and research. For an extensive list of of links to additional resources, the AGS has a Directory of Agencies and Organizations.
- American Psychological Association Office on Aging
- Useful sections include: Resources & Publications, Programs and Projects, Aging Policy Issues, Monitor Articles on Aging, Press Releases on Aging Issues.
- Council of Professional Geropsychology Training Programs - CoPGTP promotes geropsychology training based on the Pikes Peak Model for Training. The site offers information about the model and resources based on level of training.
- DIRLINE Directory of Health Organizations
- From the National Library of Medicine, DIRLINE is a searchable directory of health organizations in the U.S. Find organizations by keyword, organization name or MeSH terms.
- Gerontological Society of America - provides information for professionals and students.
- National Association of Geriatric Education Centers - NAGEC supports the national network of Geriatric Education Centers (GECs)
dedicated to improving the education/training, supply, distribution and
quality of health care professionals through strong community-academic
partnerships.
- National Gerontological Nurses Association - NGNA is dedicated to the clinical care of older adults across diverse care
settings. Members include clinicians, educators, and researchers with
vastly different educational preparation, clinical roles, and
interest in practice issues.
- National PACE Association - The goal of PACE, The Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly, is to improve quality of life, provide affordable health care and allow more elderly people to live at home rather than long term care facilities.This site provides information on educational opportunities, federal policy, and state resources.

- Alzheimer's Association: Great Plains Chapter - Located in Lincoln, Nebraska, this organization serves all of Wyoming and most counties in Nebraska, this chapter offers support groups, educational programs for caregivers, and training for professionals.
- Mountain Pacific Quality Health - Serving Montana, Wyoming, Alaska and Hawaii, with an office in Casper, Wyoming, this organization works with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and other quality care organizations to improve health care.
- Rural Assistance Center (RAC) - offers an online library including funding sources, topical and state information, tools for success and RAC publications. For links to Wyoming resources, go to the Wyoming guide.

Wyoming Health Care Associations and Organizations
- St. John's Institute for Cognitive Health - an affiliate of the University of Utah Center for Alzheimer’s Care,
Imaging and Research, provides assessment, treatment and an integrated
continuum of care plan for those suffering from memory impairments. Free Memory & Cognitive Evaluations for U.S. Veterans are offered for a limited time.
- Wyoming Hospice Organization - "the Wyoming Hospice Organization is dedicated to advocating for the hospice concept of care as well as serving as a voice and resource for its provider members."
- Wyoming Hospital Association - The Wyoming Hospital Association (WHA) is a member owned, private, non-profit
organization representing Wyoming hospitals. WHA
serves as the voice of Wyoming hospitals before local, state,
regional and national legislative and regulatory bodies, the media
and the general public.
- Wyoming Medical Society - "WMS brings valuable services to our members including: legislative
advocacy, public health promotion, and a strong voice of representation
across a wide mix of state and federal programs."
- Wyoming Pharmacy Association - "The mission of the Wyoming Pharmacy Association is to advance and promote the practice and profession of pharmacy."
- Wyoming Physical Therapy Association - "the mission of the Wyoming Physical Therapy Association is to be the principle membership organization that represents and promotes the physical therapy profession and to meet the needs and interests of its members."
- Wyoming Primary Care Association -(WYPCA) "works to expand the availability of high quality,
affordable health care services throughout Wyoming. Health Centers are
mission-driven health care organizations that deliver compassionate, quality
health care to all individuals, with or without insurance, and regardless of
their ability to pay. The WYPCA partners with other medical and non-medical
organizations in an effort to increase access to high quality health care
services, which our association believes is essential to building healthier
communities."
- Wyoming Society for Respiratory Care - "formed to encourage, develop and provide educational
programs for those persons interested in respiratory therapy and diagnostics,
to advance the science, technology, ethics and art of respiratory care through
meetings, lectures, publications, and other materials, facilitate cooperation
and understanding among respiratory care personnel and the medical profession,
allied health professions, hospitals, service companies, industry, government
organizations, and other agencies interested in respiratory care, and to
provide education to the public in pulmonary health promotion and disease
prevention."

- Wyoming Speech-Language-Hearing Association - "supports the professions of speech-language pathology and
audiology through advocacy, public awareness, and professional development,
advancing ethical principles and professional standards on behalf of its
members and the individuals they serve. WSHA is the officially recognized
association for Wyoming audiologists and speech-language pathologists by the
American Speech-Language Hearing Association"
