Amiee Reese is originally from Wyoming and attended the University of Wyoming, where she received a BFA in sculpture and an MA in American Studies. Her thesis research was grant funded by the Wyoming Council for the Humanities and included an interdisciplinary investigation into the diaspora of garden and landscape culture of the American West, culminating in the field study, Gardens of Albany County. Amiee spends the majority of her free time camping, hiking, fishing, and creating mixed-media artwork in her home studio.
Prior to joining the UW Foundation, Amiee served as executive director for the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum, where she worked for 15 years. Amiee and her husband Shawn have two children who are fifth-generation Wyomingites.
