Bio

Daniel Gray was born in Vienna, Austria to Finnish and American parents. His family settled in the Dallas, TX area and he received his B.F.A. in studio art from Texas State University and an M.F.A. in sculpture at Texas Christian University. He has been an academic advisor at various universities since 2012 and has advised students in a wide range of majors including the liberal arts, STEM, healthcare, and creative fields. 

As an advisor in the Honors College at UW, he is looking forward to helping students thrive in all aspects of their life. He strongly believes that advising can and should be much more than simply helping students check off degree requirements. 

Outside of work Daniel is a persistent dumpster diver and believes that many of the best things in life can be found in the trash.
