The University of Wyoming Family Medicine Residency Program in Casper is offering candidates who qualify a challenging and rewarding employment opportunity in the healthcare field. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum Qualifications Include: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in healthcare profession such as Nursing, Physician Assistant, Social Work, Medical technologist/technician OR Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or Business OR five years of leadership experience in an outpatient medical or healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications Include: Experience with Federally Qualified Health Clinics, IT Medical Business Office Systems, processes and software programs related to all financial reporting, A/R, A/P, collections, etc., and Electronic Medical Records processing and compliance requirements
Essential Duties: The residency program operates as part of the Educational Health Center of Wyoming in partnership with the Cheyenne residency program. The EHCW is a designated FQHC-LA, a federally funded clinic to serve the underserved. The clinic director plays an essential role in ensuring that the EHCW and Casper residency meet all HRSA program requirements (including financial, quality, and performance measures) and reports such compliance accurately via the annual UDS report.
Day to day management of clinic personnel and overall operation and general management of clinic including medical contracting, financial and personnel management, healthcare technology and medical compliance programs. Develops and implements policies and procedures along with the planning and coordinating of various clinical committees serving as chair when appropriate. Markets the clinic and negotiates patient care contracts.
Supports graduate medical education and the ACGME/AOA accreditations of the residency program. Develops and coordinates teaching of the Practice Management curriculum which includes a wide range of medical office management principals to resident physicians, faculty physicians, and clinical staff members.
In conjunction with the University financial department, EHCW CFO, and consulting billing company, maintains appropriate fiscal management of clinic operations, including financial reporting, A/R, A/P, billing and collections.
