The IPE Committee Charge
The Interprofessional Education Committee facilitates an interprofessional culture in the College by promoting, coordinating, and planning interprofessional education (including didactic and experiential). The Committee also advises the Dean regarding the development and distribution of interdisciplinary resources while offering suggestions for enhanced efficiency, to the benefit of the College and to enhance health care in Wyoming.
The Interprofessional Education Workshop
On January 9, 2014, 72 faculty, 2 senior students and the Dean of the College of Health Sciences (CHS) at the University of Wyoming gathered for a very successful one-day Interprofessional Education Workshop facilitated by Brenda Zierler and Peggy Odegard from the University of Washington Center for Health Science Interprofessional Education, Research and Practice. A Chapter of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement's (IHI) Open School was recently created in the College of Health Sciences to introduce students and faculty to innovative quality improvement practices. Plans are underway to begin meetings and activities during the spring semester of 2014. To learn more about IHI Open House visit IHI Open School.
