Applications for the 2010 Summer High school Institute will be available beginning December 7, 2009.

  • October 30, 2009 Deadline for faculty applications
  • December 4, 2009 Information and applications sent to all Wyoming High Schools
  • February 5, 2010 Deadline for all student nominations from High Schools
  • February 5, 2010 Deadline for staff applications
  • March 19, 2010 Notifications of all student acceptance
  • June 6, 2010 Summer High School Institute Program begins
  • June 26, 2010 Summer High School Institute Program ends
Program Overview
 
For the past twenty-five years, students across the state of Wyoming have had their first taste of college life while attending the UW Summer High School Institute (HSI). The UW Summer High School Institute is a three-week summer residential program designed to provide intellectually talented high school students exciting educational experiences on the University of Wyoming Laramie campus.  HSI provides great opportunity for high school students
  • Take part in an exceptional summer enrichment program,
  • Spend three weeks on the University of Wyoming campus,
  • Learn in small, informal classes with no grades or tests,
  • Study with outstanding university faculty,
  • Enjoy and environment where you can be yourself,
  • Meet new people in a relaxed university atmosphere,
  • Develop long-lasting friendships, and
  • Discover how students from all over Wyoming think about themselves and the world
 
The Summer High School Institute is an attitude - a state of mind.
It is the excitement of learning - learning in its fullest sense.
It is creative, energetic, difficult and challenging.
It is exhilaration - it is fun!
