College of Health Sciences

Kinesiology & Health Graduate Programs

Graduate students in the program earn a master of science (M.S.) degree in Kinesiology and Health.

Admission into the M.S. degree program is open to students who have obtained an undergraduate degree with a major program of study in exercise and sport science, health, or physical education teacher education. Students who have undergraduate degrees in areas outside of kinesiology and health may be granted provisional admission with the requirement of completing undergraduate coursework in kinesiology and/or health during their first year of graduate study. When applying, students are required to have a minimum undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 point scale), three letters of recommendation, a letter of intent, and a minimum combined verbal and quantitative score of 291 on the Graduate Record Examination for admission. For international students, a minimum TOEFL score of 540 on the written exam, or 76 on the Internet-based test, is required for full admission of students not having English as their first language.
