Overview

The George William Hopper Law Library is located in the College of Law building at the University of Wyoming. We are open to the public for researching, browsing, borrowing, or studying. While our collection is primarily geared toward law students and legal professionals, there is much here that is of general interest.

Borrowing Our Resources

Our collection is accessible through QuickSearch. Our treatises, legal periodicals, and leisure materials may be checked out for up to 28 days. Reserves and audio visual materials may be checked out for three hours.

Online Resources

Most of our online database collections are available to anyone in the College of Law and the Law Library. These databases contain statutes, case law, regulations, and secondary sources. Due to licensing agreements, offsite access is not available to non-university patrons.

Reference Assistance

Reference librarians are available to answer any legal research questions you may have. We can also be contacted through email at lawref@uwyo.edu or by telephone at 307-766-2210.

Wireless Access, Printing, and Scanning

Our building is wireless, and internet connectivity is available using any valid email address. The Help Desk will may provide you with a flash drive for saving content, and most databases offer an emailing option. The Help Desk may assist with printing. In lieu of a copy machine, we offer a scanner.

Interlibrary Loan

We provide interlibrary loan services for current law school faculty, staff, and students. Non-law school affiliates may fill interlibrary loan requests through their local public library.
