Dr. Michelle Chamberlin, Assistant Professor | Research interests: Mathematics education.

Dr. Craig Douglas, SER Professor | Research interests: Multigrid methods and simulation of contaminant transport, wildland fires, combustion and ocean circulation using dynamic data-driven application systems (DDDAS) techniques.

Dr. Fred Furtado, Associate Professor | Research interests: Flow in porous media, hyperbolic systems of conservations laws, Riemann problems, asymptotic analysis of differential equations via renormalization group methods, computational fluid dynamics

Dr. Victor Ginting, Assistant Professor | Research interests: Multiscale methods for partial differential equations; finite volume and finite difference methods; numerical and iterative methods for partial differential equations; mathematical and numerical model for flow in porous media.

Dr. Stefan Heinz, Associate Professor | Research interests: Mathematical modeling, multiscale processes, stochastic analysis, monte carlo simulations, computational fluid dynamics, turbulence, combustion, multiphase flows.

Dr. Sylvia Hobart, Associate Professor | Research interests: Connections between algebra and combinatorics, particularly the ways in which algebraic methods can be used to explore various combinatorial objects.

Dr. Farhad Jafari, Professor & Department Head | Research interests: Functional analysis and operator theory, harmonic analysis.

Dr. Long Lee, Associate Professor | Research interests: Numerical simulations and mathematical modeling for fluid-flexible body interactions; multiphase flow and nonlinear waves.

Dr. Rongsong Liu, Assistant Professor | Research interests: Transmission dynamics and spatial spread of vector-borne diseases: modeling, prediction and control.

Dr. Gregory Lyng, Associate Professor | Research interests: Applied analysis and partial differential equations

Dr. Eric Moorhouse, Professor | Research interests: p-ranks, oviods and spreads, projective planes and generalized polygons, double covers of graphs, loops, quantum information and computation, nets and webs, algebraic graph theory.

Dr. Zhuang Niu, Assistant Professor | Research interests: Operator algebras, K-theory, dynamical systems.

Dr. Felipe Pereira, SER Professor | Research interests: Mathematical modeling of multiphase flows in multiscale porous media: CO2 sequestration, oil reservoirs, contaminant transport; numerical methods for partial differential equations; high performance, parallel, scientific computing.

Dr. Peter Polyakov, Professor | Research interests: Theory of functions of several complex variables.

Dr. Bryan Shader, Professor | Research interests: Combinatorics, discrete mathematics, graph theory, linear and multilinear algebra, and matrix theory, and focuses on the use of algebraic techniques on combinatorial problems, and the use of combinatorics and graph theory to strengthen results in linear algebra and matrix theory.

Dr. Chanyoung Shader, Associate Professor | Research interests: Representation theory of lie (super) algebras and their quantized algebras. The current research focuses on construction of representations and analyzing their structures by means of characters.

Dr. Dan Stanescu, Associate Professor | Research interests: Numerical analysis, computational fluid dynamics, high-order and spectral methods, discontinuous galerkin methods, computational aeroacoustics and uncertainty quantification.

Dr. Jason Williford, Assistant Professor | Research interests: Algebraic graph theory, finite geometries, association schemes.

Dr. Man-Chung Yeung, Associate Professor | Research interests: Iterative methods, preconditioning techniques, multigrid and domain decomposition, and parallel computations.
