Marge Richardson of Laramie helps her daughter, Thyra Shepherd, try on her cap and gown for Saturday's commencement. Marge graduated from UW 50 years ago (1958), and Thyra's great aunt, Thyra Therkildsen, graduated 50 years before that (1908). Shepherd will receive a B.S. degree in agricultural communications with a minor in child and family studies. UW is scheduled to accord degrees upon more than 1,450 students, including 1,124 undergraduates, 235 graduate students, 73 College of Law graduates and 46 School of Pharmacy graduates. (UW Photo)
