The University of Wyoming Academy of Student Pharmacists and Phi Delta Chi will offer a diabetic and osteoporosis screening Saturday, March 8, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Laramie Community Recreation Center.
Events include blood glucose monitoring, blood pressure, osteoporosis
bone scans, diabetes counseling, and heartburn treatment counseling.
Fasting for eight hours prior to screening is recommended to get the
most accurate results. Individuals with a family history of diabetes or
osteoporosis or those who have been told they are at risk for one or
both of these diseases are especially encouraged to attend the
screening. Individuals under the age of 18 cannot attend.
The event is free and open to the public.
