Singer Dan Craig, a native of Denver, will perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, in the University of Wyoming Union ballroom.

Craig is often compared to artists such as Damien Rice, Josh Ritter and Ray LaMontagne. He is said to have a voice that is soothing and scratchy, but comforting and worn. Dan's ambitions, along with kindness and bravery, have won him a spot at the top of Denver's songwriters list. His song "Further to Fall" has been featured on the show "One Tree Hill."

An Ivy League graduate with a background in biology, Craig released an album in 2008, "Skin Grows Thin," and has decided to put medical school on hold to commit to music full-time.

"It's no wonder that Dan Craig attended medical school. He's wicked smart and that shows through on his third full-length release. Though Craig is young, his songwriting and delivery are years beyond his youth," said a review in Marquee Magazine, which also gave Craig four out of five stars.

Hosted by the ASUW Student Activities Council, the concert will also feature coffee and snacks for attendees. Individuals with disabilities needing accommodations contact Mike Lange at (307) 766-2752 or mlange@uwyo.edu
