Josh Decker has been hired as the University of Wyoming's new manager of Real Estate Operations starting Dec. 1.
He served as assistant manager of UW's Real Estate Operations for the past seven years and has been interim real estate manager since August. Decker was responsible for creating and implementing a geographic information system (GIS) for all the university's real estate holdings.
The Department of Real Estate Operations negotiates, coordinates and administers deeds, easements and leases; manages oil, gas, mineral and water rights; and ensures prudent and appropriate stewardship of university real estate resources. Decker will oversee more than 15,000 deeded acres of property and manage more than 80 active leases for various university programs and functions throughout the state.
A UW graduate with a B.S. degree in business administration, Decker holds real estate and land surveying certificates.
