The University of Wyoming's 2010 music composition class will present new works by 15 different composers Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 1:10 p.m. in the UW Fine Arts concert hall. This event is free and open to the public.
The 2010 composition class features composers from all over the world -- Brazil, China, Iran and the United States.
"The composers have worked with many diverse styles ranging from an homage to Bach, to folk tunes, to complex extended techniques such as singing while simultaneously playing an instrument," says Anne Guzzo, assistant professor in the Department of Music. "These composers have written for a wide instrumentation, including saxophone, French horn, string bass, voice and piano.
