Management of Wyoming's big game populations will be the topic for the summer seminar series Thursday, June 30, at the University of Wyoming-National Park Service (UW-NPS) Research Center. The center is located at the AMK Ranch in Grand Teton National Park.

Retired Wyoming Game and Fish Department biological services supervisor Reg Rothwell will discuss how management data is collected, how it is reported and how it is used in the public involvement process. He will also explain issues that the WGFD faces as it strives to evaluate and modify its programs to accommodate the changing social and economic landscape in the state.
"While small and upland game, migratory game birds and nongame species are treated somewhat differently than big game species, they share fundamental management plans," Rothwell says.
The UW-NPS Research Center provides a base for university faculty members and governmental scientists from throughout North America to conduct research in the diverse aquatic and terrestrial environments of Grand Teton National Park and the Greater Yellowstone Area.
