Free Webinar on Creating Jobs

June 16, 2011

Mike Lambert, manager of the Wyoming Market Research Center, will present a free economic gardening webinar from 2-3 p.m., Thursday, July 7.

Wyoming Entrepreneur, a collection of business assistance programs at the University of Wyoming, and the U.S. Small Business Administration sponsor the seminar.

Research shows that most new jobs in any local economy are created by small, local businesses. Economic gardening connects these entrepreneurs to resources that encourage the development of essential infrastructure.

As a result of the U.S. Small Business Jobs Act, the U.S. Small Business Administration granted Wyoming Entrepreneur funding to provide Wyoming firms with access to sophisticated planning and research.

Wyoming Market Research Center personnel will act as company "staff" to understand each company's problems and opportunities and help improve their strategies and decision-making. The team will meet regularly via webinar with each selected company and provide 30 hours of intensive research.

Individuals planning to participate in the webinar need to register at https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/725207376  or call (800) 348-5194 for more information. Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance.

Wyoming Entrepreneur is a business consulting group at UW consisting of the Wyoming Small Business Development Center, Wyoming Procurement Technical Assistance Center and the Wyoming Market Research Center. It helps Wyoming entrepreneurs succeed. For more information, visit http://www.wyomingentrepreneur.biz.
