Keener Fry has been named executive director of the University of Wyoming Alumni Association. He was selected following a national search led by Dan Haley, the association's past president.
"Keener brings an established history with UW, impressive credentials and infectious enthusiasm to the position," said Jan Cook, current UW Alumni Association president.
Fry was UW's senior associate athletics director from 1997-2001 and is currently the Athletics Department's associate director for annual giving in his role with the Cowboy Joe Club. Fry has nearly 30 years of experience in athletics and education administration, financial management and auditing. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and master's degree in sports management.
The executive director plans and manages programs, operations and events connecting UW alumni with the university. The position coordinates with officers and members of the UW Alumni Association and the university community to create and implement strategic initiatives.
Reporting to the UW vice president for student affairs, Fry serves as a key liaison to the UW Foundation and colleges. He replaces Robbie Darnall, who recently retired after more than 30 years of service to the UW Alumni Association.
