Monday, June 13, 7 p.m. -- Summer Classics Institute lecture, "Herod the Great in Caesar Augustus' New World," Paul Flesher, UW Religious Studies Program director, UW College of Law Room 186. Free.

Tuesday, June 14, 7 p.m. -- Summer Classics Institute lecture, "The Politics of Freedom in Rome: Caesar and Augustus as Liberators," Kurt Raaflaub, Brown University's emeritus professor of classics and history, UW College of Law Room 186. Free.

Tuesday, June 14 - Saturday, June 18, 7:30 p.m. -- The 2011 Snowy Range Summer Theatre and Dance Festival begins with Theresa Rebeck's backstage comedy "The Understudy" at UW's Fine Arts Studio Theatre.  Cost is $10 for the public, $8 for senior citizens and $5 for students.

Wednesday, June 15, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Colorado musicians Eric Thorin and David Richey perform a lunch time concert at UW's Simpson Plaza. Free.

Wednesday, June 15, 7 p.m. -- Summer Classics Institute lecture, "The Role of Peace in Roman Thought and Politics," Kurt Raaflaub, Brown University emeritus professor of classics and history, UW College of Law Room 186. Free.

Thursday, June 16, 7 p.m. -- Summer Classics Institute lecture, "The Poets and the Princeps: Horace, Ovid, Vergil and the Regime," Philip Holt, UW Department of Modern and Classical Languages head, UW College of Law Room 186. Free.
