The Wyoming Alumni Association has awarded Bank of the West Scholarships to four University of Wyoming students for the 2011-12 academic year.
The $2,500 Bank of the West Scholarship is given annually to outstanding UW freshmen and sophomores from the state of Wyoming.
This year's recipients are Taylor Garman, a sophomore accounting major from Sundance; Tim Hunzie, an incoming freshman from Kemmerer who plans to major in pharmacy; Taylor Kinchen, an incoming freshman from Lusk who plans to major in energy resource science; and Leo Perez, an incoming freshman from Glendo who plans to major in petroleum engineering.
The UW Alumni Association provides 34 scholarships each year to current and future students of UW.
