Closures on 15th Street to Begin July 6 for UW Housing Project Utility Work

Utility work to support the University of Wyoming’s campus housing project will necessitate the closure of parts of 15th Street beginning Thursday, July 6.

The work is expected to last until Aug. 18, and 15th Street closures will primarily be between Lewis Street and Sorority Row. Emergency access routes have been coordinated with the Laramie Police Department, the Laramie Fire Department and the UW Police Department.

Members of the UW community are encouraged to use 22nd and Ninth streets for north-south movement through campus.

UW’s housing project involves construction of two new residence halls and a new dining facility to enhance the student experience. The first new residence hall and dining facility are scheduled for completion in spring 2025.
