“We are thrilled to present a top artist as dynamic and inspiring as Natasha Bedingfield at the University of Wyoming,” says Lexis Hamilton, Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts program coordinator. "We are committed to bringing exciting acts and artists to area audiences, so being able to host such a beloved performer as Bedingfield in concert is a genuine privilege and pleasure.”

Originally from New Zealand, Bedingfield grew up in southeast London, where she and her siblings were raised around music. She left university to sign with BMG.

The Grammy-nominated artist made her solo debut in 2004 with “Unwritten.” She has five albums under her belt, over 14 million albums sold and a diverse set of collaborations with artists such as Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, Sean Kingston, Brandy, Rascal Flatts, Lifehouse and Lang Lang.

Bedingfield’s hits “Unwritten,” “Pocketful of Sunshine,” “These Words,” “Single,” “Soulmate” and “Love Like This” have topped international charts, and more than 20 of her songs have been used in films.

“Unwritten” continues to be an anthem for many around the world -- and widely hailed as the unofficial commencement song at graduations. Proving that a great song is timeless, “Unwritten” enjoyed a resurgence as a TikTok challenge in 2021, garnering an MTV Award nomination.

In 2021, Bedingfield performed as Pepper in “The Masked Singer” Fox television show.

She continues to write and record new music, plan tours and speak about climate change, an issue she is passionate about.

“We aspire to make the Buchanan Center Special Events season a must-see for those in and around Wyoming to experience live art and entertainment,” Hamilton says. “We hope everyone will join us for what promises to be an amazing season opener with Natasha Bedingfield.”
