Flu Shots for UW Students Available Oct. 5

Flu shots for University of Wyoming students will be available in the Wyoming Union East Ballroom from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5.

There is no charge if participants have student medical insurance through UW. If an individual does not have student insurance, UW Student Health Service will bill a student’s account $29. Students can obtain a copy of a statement at the time of service to submit to their own insurance company for reimbursement.

Free cookies and juice will be provided at the flu clinic.

The flu vaccine is updated each season to protect against the most common influenza viruses, and the best protection against influenza is to obtain a flu vaccine each year, according to Student Health Service.
