UW to Host Strategic Supplier Fair Sept. 28

The University of Wyoming’s Procurement and Payment Services will host a Strategic Supplier Fair Thursday, Sept. 28.

The fair will take place from 9:30 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom. The event is free and open to UW employees.

“Come by to network and learn more about the strategic benefits that UW Procurement and Payment Services have negotiated on behalf of UW faculty and staff,” says Jon Babcock, assistant director of UW Procurement and Payment Services.

The Strategic Supplier Fair is designed for UW employees to meet and form connections with the university’s strategic suppliers. These suppliers offer the university community pricing discounts on various products and services, including office supplies, lab equipment, flights and airport parking.

There will be representatives on-site from partners including Amazon, CDW, United, Southwest, Fisher, Fastenal and the University Store.

“More than 15 vendors and university partners will be at the fair with amazing discounts and perks that you can’t miss out on,” Babcock adds.

Attendees can meet staff members from Procurement Services and enter raffles for a chance to win prizes such as UW swag, a Lenovo ThinkPad, gift cards and round-trip airline tickets.

Additionally, UW employees can attend breakout sessions for more in-depth presentations.

The schedule is:

-- 9:30-10 a.m.: Southwest.

-- 11-11:30 a.m.: Apple.

-- Noon-1 p.m.: Fisher.

-- 1-1:30 p.m.: Amazon.

-- 2-2:30 p.m.: Fastenal.

-- 3-3:30 p.m.: Southwest.
