UW Announces Holiday Closures

Most University of Wyoming business and administrative offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 25-Tuesday, Jan. 2, for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays as well as winter closure.

Normal business hours will resume Wednesday, Jan. 3.

Coe Library will close at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, and it will reopen Wednesday, Jan. 3, at 8 a.m. The Geology Library and the Herbarium Library will be closed Dec. 23-Jan. 2. The Learning Resource Center will be closed starting Dec. 22, and it will reopen Monday, Jan. 8. To view hours for Coe and the library branches, visit www.uwyo.edu/libraries/research/services/hours.

Half Acre Recreation and Wellness Center will close at 7 p.m. Dec. 22. It will reopen Jan. 3 at 7 a.m. For more information and to view a schedule, go to www.uwyo.edu/rec/facility-hours-and-information.

The UW Art Museum will close at 5 p.m. Dec. 22 and will reopen Jan. 3. Normal hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday hours are extended to 7 p.m.

The UW Geological Museum will start winter break hours -- 11 a.m.-2 p.m. -- today (Monday)-Friday, Dec. 22. The museum will be closed Dec. 23-Jan. 2. Winter break hours will continue Jan. 3-13. Normal hours -- Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. -- will resume Tuesday, Jan. 16.

UW Shipping and Receiving will be open Wednesday-Friday, Dec. 27-29, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. for incoming shipments and package pickups. Department packages may be picked up from the Shipping and Receiving warehouse, located at 16th and Gibbon streets. There will be no campus deliveries made to departments Dec. 26-29 and Jan. 2. Normal deliveries will resume Jan. 3.

UW transit services will be unavailable Dec. 23-Jan. 2. Regular services will resume Wednesday, Jan. 3. The SafeRide service is currently unavailable until Tuesday, Jan. 16. For more information and to view a schedule, visit www.uwyo.edu/tps/transit/holiday-schedule.html.

The Wyoming Union will close at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22. It will reopen Wednesday, Jan. 3, at 7 a.m.
