Information Technology Services to be Disrupted on UW West Campus

As part of tunnel work being completed near the University of Wyoming’s Student Health Service/Cheney International Center building, information technology (IT) services on the west side of campus over the next two weeks may be intermittently disrupted after hours while IT infrastructure is relocated.

This includes wireless access, network connections, VoIP, analog phone lines and fire alarm circuits. Here are the schedule and possible impacts:

Wednesday, Jan. 10 -- Hoyt Hall

-- Starting at 5 p.m.

-- Duration: 11 hours.

-- Services impacted: Wireless access, network connections and VoIP phones.

Thursday, Jan. 11 -- Native American Education, Research and Cultural Center

-- Starting at 5 p.m.

-- Duration: 11 hours.

-- Services impacted: Wireless access, network connections and VoIP.

Friday, Jan. 12 -- Native American Education, Research and Cultural Center

-- Starting at 5 p.m.

-- Duration: 11 hours.

-- Services impacted: Analog phones and fire alarm circuit.

Monday, Jan. 15 -- Merica Hall and Student Health Service/Cheney International Center building

-- Starting at 5 p.m.

-- Duration: 11 hours.

-- Services impacted: Wireless access, network connections, VoIP, analog phones and fire alarm circuit.

Tuesday, Jan. 16 -- West campus fiber reroute (no expected impacts)

-- Starting at 5 p.m.

-- Duration: 11 hours.

Wednesday, Jan. 17 -- West campus copper reroute (analog phones and fire alarm circuits to the following buildings may be impacted)

-- Starting at 5 p.m.

-- Duration: 11 hours.

-- Buildings impacted: Native American Education, Research and Cultural Center; Arts and Sciences; Aven Nelson; Berry Biodiversity Conservation Center; Biological Sciences; Classroom; Earth Sciences; Energy Innovation Center; Michael B.
