Sheridan County native Tris Munsick and his band, the Innocents, will bring their country sound to the University of Wyoming College of Arts and Sciences auditorium at 7 p.m. Friday, March 22.

The first 1,000 UW students will be admitted free. Students can receive a free ticket by going to the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts box office and showing their UW student ID cards.

General admission tickets are $35. A nominal processing fee will be charged for each ticket. To purchase tickets, visit the Performing Arts box office, call (307) 766-6666 or go online at www.tix.com/ticket-sales/uwyo/6984/event/1363208.

Among the top acts in the region, Tris Munsick and the Innocents continue to gain recognition, sharing their brand of country music with audiences.

“Tris Munsick is the real deal,” says Chancey Williams, a UW graduate from Moorcroft. He and his Younger Brothers Band currently tour extensively across the U.S. and have released six albums. “Tris can write about and represent cowboy culture because he was born in it and lives it. Tris is an artist who is really finding his voice in the American West.”

Constantly on the road, Munsick and his band have shared the stage with such country recording artists as Big & Rich, Lyle Lovett, BlackHawk, the Eli Young Band, Cody Johnson, Casey Donahew and Marty Stuart. The band also has performed at the National Finals Rodeo opening ceremonies in Las Vegas.

Munsick was raised on his family’s Sheridan County ranch and earned his master’s degree in 2016 from the UW College of Agriculture, Life Sciences and Natural Resources, focusing on production economics.
