Intersection Closure Means UW Parking and Pedestrian Changes

The closure of the intersection of 15th Street and Ivinson Avenue that began Thursday, March 7, has necessitated multiple changes to University of Wyoming bus routes and parking and pedestrian access.

Pedestrians wishing to cross at 15th Street and Ivinson Avenue will need to follow detour signs along the west side of the Tobin House to cross at Sorority Row. Current construction projects and pedestrian detour information can be found on the UW campus interactive map.

Pedestrians can catch a ride to main campus instead, as the Link shuttle serves the residence hall bus stop, along Grand Avenue, and Knight Hall every 20 minutes.

Transit Changes

With the permanent closure of the bus plaza east of the Wyoming Union today (March 18), transit changes go into effect.

The Express and Link routes begin serving south of Knight Hall along Ivinson Avenue.

The Evening Route has already begun serving Simpson Plaza west of the Wyoming Union.

Parking Changes

Street parking is no longer available between 12th and 13th streets on Ivinson in front of Knight Hall to accommodate the temporary Knight Hall bus stop.

Parking in Orange Zone 203 and Green Zones will be affected during construction. King Street north of the residence halls will become two-way traffic with access from Orr Hall. To accommodate two-way traffic, a section of Orange Zone 203 parking south of Tri-Delta as well as Green Zone parking in the Tobin parking lot will be closed to accommodate vehicle turnarounds.

Additionally, there will be a partial closure in the Green Zone parking lot west of White Hall.
