Scroll down this page to check out the School Visit Schedule. Choose a date that will work with your calendar.

Step 2

Schedule visit through
UW Admissions

Schedule your visit online through UW Admissions by registering as follows:

Click here to schedule an in-person visit day

  • Make sure you schedule your visit with UW Admissions to correspond to the date you chose from our nursing School Visit Schedule

  • Questions about the UW Student Visit program? Feel free to call the Campus Visitor Center [located in the Wyoming Union] at 307-766-5126 or email visituw@uwyo.edu

  • In normal times, the Campus Visitor Center fits a campus tour and an Admissions informative meeting around our scheduled nursing visit time(s) and will make sure you can take part in both campus and nursing tours. Admissions will contact the School of Nursing to let us know you are coming for our school visit.

  • In times that are NOT normal, as in COVID-19 or variant upticks, staff work to present a virtual option.

Step 3

Can't come to any of the scheduled visit days?

Nursing can give you a packet that will provide vital information. In addition and if you would like, we can have nursing faculty call you to discuss the program and to answer your questions.

Email uwnursing@uwyo.edu to request a packet or faculty call.

What happens at Nursing Visits?

When you come to campus for an in-person visit, you typically will hear from an advisor with guidance on preparing for admission to the nursing program. You will also be given a printout as to the courses you would take, and what the nursing curriculum will look like in regard to clinical courses. You will be given a tour of our Clinical Simulation Center. You will be shown how we use our simulated manikens in our teaching, and will likely be given some hands-on experience during the tour.

Check out our video tour:

Click on the accompanying video to see a virtual tour of our clinical simulation cetner.

And scrolling down further:

The picture block slide-bar shows what you would typically see during a nursing tour in person. It varies a bit from the virtual tour.
