The Fay W. Whitney School of Nursing (FWWSON) at the University of Wyoming is looking to fill a position in the undergraduate program. An Academic Professional teaching position is currently open at the Assistant level. The University of Wyoming offers a world-class education in the small community of Laramie, Wyoming. You will find endless, four-season outdoor adventure, arts and culture, a lively downtown and a welcoming campus community. Summary of position

  • Benefited, full-time, 9-month position

  • Teaching a variety of didactic courses on-campus and on-line

  • Teaching clinical courses in the acute care setting either in Laramie and/or Cheyenne, Wyoming

  • Professional development, service, and advising responsibilities

  • Ability to be on the Laramie, Wyoming campus to fulfill all responsibilities of the position

Minimum qualifications

  • Applicants must possess a master’s degree in nursing

  • Eligible for unencumbered RN licensure in Wyoming

Desired qualifications

  • Two or more years of acute care clinical experience

  • Two or more years of teaching experience in nursing

  • Ability to adapt to changes in teaching situations

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Potential to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Ability to attend scheduled meetings online and on the Laramie, WY campus

  • Ability to fulfil all responsibilities of the position

  • This position can be fulfilled from a remote location

Minimum qualifications

  • Applicants must possess a master’s degree in nursing

  • Eligible for unencumbered RN licensure in Wyoming

Desired qualifications

  • Two or more years of nursing experience

  • Two or more years of teaching experience in nursing

  • Teaching experience in the online environment

  • Ability to adapt to changes in teaching situations
