Guanglong He, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Medicinal Chemistry with the University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy. He received a Ph.D. from the Institute of Chemistry at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, China. In 2002, He completed postdoctoral fellowship training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He was previously an associate professor with the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

The research theme in Dr. He’ lab includes two major areas: Cardiovascular Injury and Biomedical Imaging

Teaching:

With an educational degree from a teachers’ university, Guanglong He was trained as a teacher. After graduating from college, He became a faculty member at Anhui Normal University, a prestigious teachers’ university in China. To further his career as a teacher and a researcher, He pursued a Master’s degree and Ph.D. in physical chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 1997, He went to The Johns Hopkins University to pursue his research career in Cardiovascular Medicine and Biomedical Engineering as a postdoctoral fellow. He joined The Ohio State University School of Medicine in 2002 as a faculty member to continue his research and teaching career. There, He taught “Biophysics” and “Free Radicals in Biomedicine” in the Biophysics program. In 2013, He joined the faculty at the University of Wyoming College of Health Sciences School of Pharmacy to continue his teaching career.
