The University of Wyoming Psychology department is a small highly collegial group of people, both faculty and students. In addition to our rigorous first year statistics courses, we also encourage our students to pursue a graduate statistics minor. In my lab, we prioritize graduate student research projects and focus on developing the skills that will make you competitive for both academic and industry job trajectories.
UW also boasts a Center for 3D Visualization, a Center for geospatial information and technology (WyGISC) and two campus Makerspaces that provide cutting edge 3D printing technology.

Finally, Laramie is a small college town nestled between two mountain ranges with fantastic access to outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking, downhill and cross-country skiing. Fort Collins & Denver are within easy driving distance (1-2 hours). RMNP is only 2 hours, Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons are ~ 6 hours drive.
