ROaR! - Restoration Outreach and Research!

ROaR! is a Recognized Student Organization at University of Wyoming and a Student Chapter of the American Society of Mining and Reclamation (ASMR). We provide a venue in which undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in reclamation and restoration of disturbed lands can assist local organizations on projects while gaining skills for success in their future careers and networking with others in the field.

ROaR! meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 6 PM in AG 41

Types of Activities that ROaR! is involved with include:
  • Laramie River Restoration project
  • Vedauwoo trail and campsite clean-ups
  • Roger's Canyon clean-up projects
  • Sponsoring a film series based on land restoration projects and issues
  • Providing networking opportunities for both graduate and undergraduate students at UWYO

We always welcome new members - if you're interested in learning more, feel free to attend any meetings or contact us by email. Activities are on-going throughout the school year and the summer.

Students of all majors are encouraged to attend a meeting and consider joining this highly active RSO. ROaR! meets on the third Monday of each month in AG2034.
