Wyoming Transfer Advance

Wyoming Transfer Advance

We invite you to explore Wyoming Transfer Advance, a program designed for students earning an associate’s degree (AA, AS, or AB) at a Wyoming community college and intending to transfer to the University of Wyoming to earn their bachelor’s degree. Transfer Advance connects Wyoming community college students with the right resources for a smooth and complete transition to UW.

At the heart of Wyoming Transfer Advance, Wyoming community colleges and UW have partnered to provide a number of program-specific articulation agreements that assure that courses taken at a Wyoming community colleges meet UW degree course requirements.

2+2 plans:

2 years at the community college (earning an associate’s degree)

+ 2 years at UW

Bachelor’s Degree

With the exception of some professional degrees, most bachelor’s degrees at UW require 120 to 124 credit hours to graduate. The 2+2 plans are designed to provide Wyoming community college students who plan to transfer to UW with semester by semester curriculum maps so students know how to most effectively and efficiently schedule their courses so that they: 1) are on track to earn their bachelor’s degree generally within four years; 2) don’t accumulate a large number of unnecessary academic credits; and 3) don’t run the risk of running out of aid eligibility before they earn a degree.

Ideally, students are registering for Wyoming Transfer Advance in their first two semesters at a Wyoming community college in order to get the most benefit from the program.
