President's Climate Commitment

U.W. President Tom BuchananIn September 2007, President Buchanan signed the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment, committing UW to reducing its carbon emissions over the coming decades, and to eventually become carbon neutral. As part of the Commitment, UW has now completed its Climate Action Plan, the document to guide the institution in achieving its sustainability goals. The Climate Action Plan is a joint effort of University administrators, faculty, staff and students. For more information on the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment, please visit http://www.presidentsclimatecommitment.org/.
