UW Art Museum to Feature Faculty Artwork

An opening reception for an exhibition of recent artwork by Department of Art faculty members is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 1, from 6-8 p.m.at the University of Wyoming Art Museum. The exhibition will continue through March 1.


"Art Department studio faculty are nationally and internationally recognized creative artists," says Ricki Klages, art department head. "There is not a universal departmental approach or style, instead faculty express their individual artistic vision with integrity and passion."


The UW Art Department Faculty Exhibition includes artwork by Ashley Hope Carlisle (sculpture), Mark Ritchie (printmaking), Leah Hardy (metals), Pat Kikut (painting), Doug Russell (drawing), Shelby Shadwell (drawing), Diana Baumbach (mixed media), Jenny Venn (graphic design), Margaret K. Haydon (ceramics), David Jones (sculpture) and Klages (painting).


The Art Museum is located in the Centennial Complex at 22nd and Willett Drive. The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. with extended hours until 9 p.m. on Mondays from February through April. Admission is free.
