UW to Sponsor Seminar on Global Energy Solutions

March 12, 2008 — Colorado State University professor Bryan Wilson, one of the region's leading advocates for clean energy, will discuss global energy solutions Thursday, March 13, at the University of Wyoming.

Wilson's seminar, titled "Innovating Global Energy Solutions: Engineering and Entrepreneurship," begins at noon in Room 118 of the Classroom Building. The event is free and open to the public.

Wilson, a professor of mechanical engineering at the Fort Collins university, has founded four major programs at CSU, including the Engines and Energy Conversion Laboratory and the Global Innovation Center for Energy, Environment and Health. He is also principal or co-principal investigator on more than $25 million in funded research.

Also, Wilson serves as director of CSU's Clean Energy Supercluster, whose mission is to promote an institution-wide effort to develop and disseminate market-driven clean energy solutions.

Wilson's seminar is sponsored by the UW departments of Plant Sciences and Civil and Architectural Engineering and the colleges of Agriculture and Engineering and Applied Science.
