Phantom Planet to Play at UW

April 1, 2008 — Phantom Planet, a Los Angeles-based band, will play on Wednesday, April 2, at 8 p.m., at the "Rock Star Get A Life Tour" ticket launch party in the University of Wyoming Union Ballroom.

The event, sponsored by ASUW Student Activities Council and Concerts and Convocations, will provide an opportunity for students to purchase tickets to "Rock Star Get a Life" tour on April 30. A valid student ID is needed to purchase tickets, which cost $15.

Phantom Planet, best known for their song "California" as the theme song to the TV show "The O.C.," has toured with Elvis Costello and Maroon 5.

Headlining the April 30 tour will be The Used plus a lecture by Warp Tour creator Kevin Limon. Other acts include Straylight Run, Army of Me, Street Drum Corp, and Lights Resolve.
