UW Trustees Set Tentative Agenda for March Meeting


February 25, 2009 — Members of the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees will conduct their March meeting beginning Thursday, March 5, at 9 a.m. at the UW Conference Center, 22nd Street and Grand Avenue.

The board may move into its business meeting Thursday if sessions conclude ahead of schedule. If not, the business meeting, in which trustees take formal action on agenda items, is scheduled at 4 p.m. Friday, March 6, at the UW Conference Center Salon C. Members of the public are welcome to attend any meeting except executive sessions.

Times are approximate:

Thursday, March 5
10 a.m.-noon -- Long Range Development Plan presentation.
Noon-1:30 p.m. -- Working lunch - executive session.
1:30-2:30 p.m. -- K-12 connections.
2:30-2:45 p.m. -- FY 2010 salary distribution policy.
2:45-3 p.m. -- Endowment update.
3-3:15 p.m. -- Break.
3:15-3:45 p.m. -- University planning.
3:45-4 p.m. -- Legislative briefing.
4-4:30 p.m. -- Budget planning.
4:30-5 p.m. -- WWAMI (medical education program) policy.

Friday, March 6
9-9:30 a.m. -- Construction contracts.
9:30-9:45 a.m. -- Bus to Wyoming Union.
10-11 a.m. -- "Take a Trustee to Class," lunch will follow at the Foundation House.
1-2 p.m. -- Executive session, Salon C.
2-2:45 p.m. -- Carbon sequestration report.
2:45-3 p.m. -- Break.
3-3:30 p.m. -- Tenure & promotion overview.
3:30-3:45 p.m. -- Election of officers.
3:45-4 p.m. -- Presidential review process.
4-5 p.m. -- Business Meeting, UW Conference Center, Salon C.
