UW to Host Long Range Development Plan Workshop March 5

March 2, 2009

The University of Wyoming will host the second of four campus workshops on its Long Range Development Plan (LRDP) Thursday, March 5, at the Rendezvous Room inside the Washakie Center.

The 3:30 p.m. meeting is open to all members of the Laramie and campus communities.

The LRDP will guide UW's vision to develop the long-term physical appearance of campus. The plan aims to enhance connectivity, determine the best use of open spaces and the location of future construction and support existing campus services.

"Community and campus involvement is essential to the development of a long-range plan," says UW President Tom Buchanan. "We encourage all members of the university and Laramie communities to attend the workshops and help develop a vision for the expansion of our campus."

The first two LRDP meetings, held in November, attracted about 100 people. There are two more campus meetings and two more community meetings planned for later this year.
