Monday, June 8, through Thursday, June 11 -- This year's Summer Classics Institute, sponsored by the Wyoming Humanities Council, offers free public lectures each night at 7 p.m. in Room 142 of the UW College of Law Building. The schedule:
Monday, June 8: "Staging Intellectualism: Euripides and Athens, Lorenzo Garcia, Classics, University of New Mexico.
Tuesday, June 9: "Protagoras Refutes Himself," Rob Colter, Philosophy, UW.
Wednesday, June 10: "Wine, Women, and Song: The Symposium in Ancient Art," Susann Lusnia, Classics, Tulane University.
Thursday, June 11: "Socrates on Trial," Philip Holt, Modern & Classical Languages, UW.
Tuesday, June 9-Saturday, June 13, 7:30 p.m. -- The Snowy Range Summer Theatre and Dance Festival opens with the Pulitzer Prize-winning "I Am My Own Wife" at the Fine Arts Center studio theatre.
