Residence Life & Dining Services Director Beth McCuskey is seeking volunteers to welcome students and families to UW.
"Every year, our students and their families report how exciting it is to meet the many individuals from the university during what could be a very stressful time for them," she says. "Your commitment to welcoming our students demonstrates the caring culture of our campus and the many ways we come together to support our students.
She says help is needed in greeting students, answering questions, directing students to appropriate offices and organizing cart and dolly use.
Assistance is needed from 6:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. both Thursday, Aug. 20, and Friday, Aug. 21. The cart check-out stations will be located near Orr and White Halls.
"This is a critical time for our students and their families as they begin this transition in life," McCuskey says. "Let's show up in full force to make Movin' In 2009 something to remember."
