Both instrumental and dance performances will be featured in Sunday's concert.

The Wyoming Gamelan Chandra Wyoga with the UW Honors Student Gamelan will perform a free concert of Balinese music and dance Sunday, April 25, at 3 p.m. in the University of Wyoming College of Education auditorium.

"The program will include instrumental and dance performances with a special appearance by Barong, a powerful force in the struggle between good and evil," says Rod Garnett, professor in the UW Department of Music. "The program concludes with the voice gamelan kecak and the performance of a segment from the Ramayana (ancient Sanskrit epic)."
