Rosa Receives Academy of Marketing Science Award
May 3, 2010 — Jose Antonio Rosa, University of Wyoming marketing and sustainable business practices professor in the College of Business, is among three winners of the Academy of Marketing Science (AMS) Outstanding Marketing Teacher Awards.
Rosa is currently a Fulbright Scholar at Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia. The award recognizes outstanding marketing educators for their career-long teaching innovativeness and effectiveness. The award will be presented May 26 at the AMS annual conference in Portland, Ore.
The AMS comprises marketing scientists and educators who are dedicated to upholding and extending excellence in the creation and dissemination of knowledge within the field of marketing.
According to the organization, "International in scope and counting among its members the best minds in the discipline, AMS encourages research and teaching leadership which Dr. Rosa exemplifies."
Rosa has won multiple teaching awards at various universities and has published works in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science among other highly regarded publication in marketing and management.
His current UW research efforts are focused on the influence of emotion and body involvement on innovativeness, with special interest on the innovativeness of subsistence poor consumers around the world.
The Academy of Marketing Science selected UW Professor Jose Antonio Rosa as one of its outstanding teachers.
