"Each year, we publish this guide to security at the University of Wyoming," says
Troy Lane, UW police chief. "It is intended to provide you with essential information
regarding the university's security-related services, programs, fire safety, policies
and statistics about the occurrence of crime on and around our campus."
Pursuant to the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990, as amended, also
known as the Clery Act, the report includes statistics for the previous three years
concerning crimes that occurred on the Laramie campus; in certain off-campus buildings
or properties owned or controlled by the university and on public property within,
or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.
Institutional policies concerning campus safety and security, such as policies about
sexual assault, drug and alcohol use and other matters, are also included.
