UW Faculty Members Join 2011 Humanities Forum

Religious Studies Program Professor Seth Ward Offers programs about religious food traditions and about Islam.

Four University of Wyoming faculty members are available as speakers through the Wyoming Humanities Council's Humanities Forum.

Not-for-profit groups and public agencies may host up to two Humanities Forum programs per year. The only cost to the host organization is a $50 application fee; all other speaker expenses are covered by the Wyoming Humanities Council. Programs must be free and open to the public.

Michael Brose, chairman of the Department of History, will offer three programs relating to China. Rod Garnett, a faculty member in the Department of Music and a doctoral student in the Department of Anthropology, offers two ethnomusicology programs. Shaun Hayes, an assistant archivist at the American Heritage Center, is available to speak about the World War I era in Wyoming. Seth Ward, a faculty member in the Religious Studies Program, offers programs about religious food traditions and about Islam.
